A Bend Native, Kelsey grew up ski racing for Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and later coached for Mt. Bachelor and Mt. Hood Meadows Race Team. Kelsey hails from a family of skiers and moved back to Bend from Portland, OR in 2014 to work side by side with her dad in the family ski race business, The Race Place. After handing over the reigns of the behind the scenes work at Race Place to fellow boot tester, Megen Johnson, Kelsey joined the National Ski Patrol and works in Therapeutic Recreation for the Bend Park and Recreation District, getting kids with disabilities outdoors.
