) Bruce spent his early years skiing Mt. Hood, Mt. Bachelor, and alpine racing in college. Skiing Snowbird for two winters set the stage for becoming a pro patroller, where he met Warren Miller, skied in a couple films, became hooked on photography, then documented the Bob Beattie World Pro Ski Tour. A 20 year break from skiing due to knee issues helped Bruce become one of the top large format landscape photographers in the country (www.brucejackson.com). Fully back to skiing since 2002, and richly inspired by the alpine World Cup, Bruce has keenly embraced equipment and technique changes, evolving his hard charging approach in the process. Sensitivity and attention to detail gained through his photography career, contributes greatly when testing ski boots.
